Choosing the Right Office Cleaning Company

Selecting the right Minneapolis office cleaning company isn’t just a matter of opening the phone book or calling the first company you find online. As one article noted:
These days, there's a lot of licensed office cleaning company that will be thankful to come in and clean up your small business, so you have an overabundance of time for the stuff that matter in everyday living.
What should you do? Put together a list and narrow it down to a few candidates. Ask them whether they use their own supplies or if you’ll need to provide them. Will there need to be somebody in the office at all times while the cleaning is being done? Will they provide liability cover for personnel?

Choosing an office cleaning company based on reputation

Ultimately, what we hear about someone or something will inform our opinion about he, she, it or them. This is especially true when talking about businesses. Reputation is everything in the business world, and those with bad reputations are more than likely not getting the amount of business that they want. This extends to Minneapolis office cleaning companies, and as noted in one recent article:
Perhaps one of the best things about hiring a professional office cleaning service is that you no longer have to be concerned about ordering, stocking and installing products, such as paper towels, trash bag liners and even cleaning products.
Which is very true, since you need to stay focused on your operation. However, you also need to make sure that whoever you hire as your office cleaning company doesn't take advantage of you and does exactly what you expect of them. If you don't, you might have a lot of cleanup to take care of.

Business Cleaning Companies and the Services They Can Provide

Who doesn't like coming home to a clean house? We all do, and we should all take this same concept and apply to our office or workplace. There are a number of benefits to choosing to outsource your office cleaning to a Minneapolis building cleaning service company instead of adding it to your employees already big workload. We discussed this sometime back in an article and noted:
When you contract with an outside cleaning company, you'll have a tidy office all the time. A commercial office cleaning company can provide your business with a number of different janitorial services that can help keep your workspace clean and your employees on track.
Most commercial cleaning outfits do more than just mop, sweep and vacuum. They also refill needed supplies (hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). So, when you choose to outsource your cleaning duties to a building cleaning service, you're getting more than just a clean office, but one that has the necessary supplies.

Office cleaning means no rushing around

Have you ever had one of “those days”? You know the kind. You get up late, get stuck in traffic, and then, when you finally  get to the office you have a client meeting in half an hour and the people who are supposed to clean the office haven’t had picked up from the meeting yesterday! Ugh! Nothing makes for a stressful day like feeling as though all you are doing is trying to prevent something else from happening. Then, when you have to stop to clean the bathroom(s) and dust the blinds, it just seems to add insult to injury.

But what if there were a way around this? No more time spent rushing around trying to get the office clean for that important meeting. After all, you need to be making the final preparations for your client, not washing the mirrors, making sure there are paper towels and vacuuming the floors! All of these activities take time, and as a business owner, you are fully aware that time is money-and who has that to waste?

Hiring an office cleaning service like All Source is just the answer to your business cleaning woes. By letting someone else take care of the cleaning, you make the most of your time in the office. Not only will you no longer need to buy the supplies, but All Source will also provide the cleaning agents as well. This way, you can focus on your business and let us take care of letting you shine. You may even be able to clean out that storage closet where cleaning agents and related supplies are stored, which means you would have more space for storing the things you really need.

Having an office cleaning company to take care of the look of your business will free you up to work on those things that matter most for your business. Don’t be one of those people who have to spend time everyday cleaning the office. Hire a professional Minneapolis office cleaning company to do it for you. You will be glad you did!

Business Cleaning Service Frees Up Your Time To Run Your Own Business

Many business owners and managers are recognizing that it can make more sense to hire a professional business cleaning firm than it would to try to do it in-house. A dedicated company will have all of the heavy duty equipment and specialized product knowledge that is required to properly clean your facility. They will also have a staff that is trained to know what products are available and which ones are most appropriate for each task.

A qualified business cleaning company will have personnel that are not only trained in cleaning, but who have been trained in the safety considerations that are necessary in their business. Their employees would have had a background check and they will be insured and bonded.

You should know that some business cleaning firms have expanded their portfolio of services to include building maintenance functions such as electrical, plumbing, painting and other services as well. Now you can have one source for all of your facilities maintenance needs. You can just monitor the overall service that they provide, while they attend to the routine details of their business. You won’t have to divert your own business resources to the cleaning and maintenance of your business facility.

Maintaining a clean facility is important for the health and safety of your employees, and this translates to higher morale and productivity. A clean office also creates a positive impression with your customers when they visit. If your place of business is messy, that message will be consciously or unconsciously transferred to your entire operation. It would be much better for your clients to identify you with a neat and clean operation. They will feel that you are concerned with doing things right.

With a dedicated cleaning firm caring for your facility, your valuable time will be freed up to devote to managing your own business.

Benefits of Having Your Floor Clean

One of the dirtiest areas of an office is the one that people use every day, but it's not one that gets a lot of thought. After all, it may not necessarily be where the work is done, and though you'd have a hard time getting around without it, it's easy to forget it's there. We're talking about the floor -- the place where every employee's shoes come down and leave traces of where they've been previously, whether that's in the grass, in the mud, on top of a wad of chewed gum, and many other places.

When you think about the sheer amount of dirt and bacteria you must walk through every day, it's scary to think about what could potentially be on your floor that you don't know about or can't see. That's why it's important to have the floors in your office cleaned on a regular basis. A full-service cleaning company, like All Source, can help you keep every part of your office clean -- even the floors. When your floors are well taken care of, you present less opportunities for dirt to get tracked around to other areas of your office, and you also can cut down on the number of germs that spread.

Interested in learning more about how our Minneapolis commercial cleaning service can help you keep your floor clean? Make a call to us today at (952) 473-3228 for a FREE cleaning estimate.

A Clean Office Means Better Work

Think about when you're at home in a messy room. Is it easy to get things accomplished in that room, or are you somewhat distracted by the mess that surrounds you? If you answered the latter, you're not alone. Many feel like their minds are preoccupied when they're in a dirty or disorganized location, and they may even feel some anxiety. This doesn't just extend to the home -- it can also apply to workers in an office.

This is why it's important to have a workplace that is constantly cleaned and organized. When workers have a clean space, they can have a clean mind, and they're better able to focus on the tasks at hand. You could have a dedicated employee who takes care of the cleaning duties on a regular basis, but keep in mind, that employee is not a trained cleaner, and could potentially miss some very important areas that should be cleaned. They could also find the extra task distracting to their primary dutie in your office. That's why it's best to hire an outside cleaning company.

Are you ready to whip your office into shape and improve the efficiency and focus of your employees? Get in touch with Minneapolis commercial cleaning company All Source today at (952) 473-3228.

    • Keep food in the refrigerator in a container or bag
    • Wash out the coffee pot once a day
  • Don'ts:
    • Walk away from a spill
    • Leave dirty dishes laying around
    • Let food stay in the fridge for more than a week
Another do: Hang up a list of do's and don'ts so employees can easily see it and no what the rules are.

Beware of Scam Commercial Cleaning Services

Unfortunately, like many other industries, the commercial cleaning services one is that has many unscrupulous companies out there who want to do nothing but bilk customers.

These scams do nothing but harm our profession, and give a black eye to the companies who want to try and provide a professional Minneapolis commercial cleaning service. Luckily, there are things one can do to spot a scam.

  • Check if they're insured
  • See if they're registered with your state as a corporation, LLC, etc.
  • Ask if they're bonded
Are they missing these? Then be wary of hiring them. Do some research on the company before giving them your business, and find out if they give what they promise, or do they leave customers with nothing?

Keeping Your Desk Clean

One of the biggest obstacles to working smart and efficiently at your job is a messy, disorganized desk. When you can’t find the documents or supplies you’re looking for, switching from task to task can take more time and ultimately cause you to accomplish less during the day than someone whose work area is more organized. Here are a few tips for keeping your desk neat so that you can work at an optimal level.

Clean off your desk. The best way to start a desk reorganization process is to completely clear your desk off. Seeing the desk’s surface for the first time in months or years can be a soothing experience for some, and provide you with the motivation needed to continue on with the task.

Add shelves. Take advantage of the vertical space at the back of your desk by adding some shelves. This can help you keep some items off of your desk and in their own dedicated places.

Prioritize. Look at the items you had on your desk and select a few that you use on a regular basis. The rest should not be stored on your desk, but instead in another location.

These are just a few steps you can take to keep your workspace clean and organized. If you’re looking to keep your entire office just as clean, consider giving a Minneapolis commercial cleaning company like All Source a call. We can be reached at (952) 473-3228.

Why You Need Cleaning Services

Minneapolis businesses often get too busy to take care of their own janitorial needs, which is why many opt to hire outside cleaning services to keep their offices in good shape. A clean office environment breeds professionalism and puts off a great first impression to visitors, so if your business finds itself getting overwhelmed with work and your office cleaning is falling behind schedule, it's time to think about hiring a cleaning service.

All Source has been in business for over a decade, helping businesses in the Twin Cities metro take care of their office cleaning needs. We'll help you keep your office clean, and provide you with a few other benefits, as well. For instance, hiring All Source as your outside cleaning service means that no potentially dangerous cleaning supplies will have to remain on your premises. You'll also save on running costs -- instead of having a full-time janitor on staff, you'll be able to use All Source when you need them, and not have to pay an employee's salary for a lot of downtime.

Commercial Cleaning & Supplies

At their most basic level, offices have needs that must be met for the employees to be able to function in a clean environment with all of the supplies they need; commercial cleaning, and supply replenishment. There are some cases where a business will handle those duties on their own. In other cases, a business will outsource those tasks and hire two different companies to handle commercial cleaning and supplies. And then there are Minneapolis businesses who know that they can get both services taken care of by the same company they've trusted for the past ten years -- All Source Building Services & Supply.

All Source is a "one-stop shop" for all of your commercial building service needs. In addition to cleaning and supplies, All Source can handle many different types of repairs and maintenance tasks that you'd otherwise have to hire a third or fourth company to take care of -- electrical service, plumbing repair, construction projects, and painting are just a few.

Interested in learning more about how All Source can help your business with its commercial cleaning & supplies needs? Give us a call today at (952) 473-3228.

Commercial Plumbing Issues

If keeping a full-time plumber on staff seems a bit unnecessary for your business, it's still a good idea to contract with a building services company. They'll be able to help you out in other areas, and also provide plumbing support should things go awry.

All Source is one such company that Twin Cities businesses have trusted for years. We believe that keeping a company like ours at the ready can not only save you time, but can also save you money in terms of the quality of work and the total amount of damage done. A number of different plumbing issues can occur, and if you're not prepared, you could end up suffering a lot of expensive damage as a result.

For instance, a simple toilet clog could render a toilet unusable, especially if no one is qualified to fix it. A pipe burst can flood a bathroom and cause serious damage, including leaks to lower floors. If the pipe bursts inside the wall, a lot of damage can occur before anyone even realizes that something's happened. The list could go on and on in terms of plumbing issues your building could experience, and if you don't have experienced plumbers ready to fix things, you could wind up spending a lot of money.

Get in touch with All Source today to learn more about the plumbing services we provide. You can call (952) 473-3228, or complete our free Twin Cities plumbing estimate form online.

Spring Cleaning & Power Washing

Spring cleaning doesn't just have to be for homeowners. Commercial building owners and property managers in the Twin Cities region can also take the opportunity of the new season to clean the inside and outside of their locations. A great way to clean the outside of a building, both the building's exterior as well as any pavement and walkway areas, is by power washing.

What's a power washer? This tool, also called a pressure washer, projects a stream of highly-pressurized water out onto a surface, dislodging and washing away the dirt and grime. Power washers are great for cleaning buildings with siding, brick, stone, or concrete exteriors. Power washers are also useful for cleaning sidewalks and patios.

All Source provides power washing services, in addition to its many other services. Interested in doing a little bit of exterior spring cleaning on your commercial property? Give All Source a call today at (952) 473-3228.

You Need a Window Cleaning Service: Here's Why

For many Twin Cities businesses, the hiring of full-time maintenance and janitorial staff members isn't financially feasible. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop the dirt from making its way in, or the messes from forming. It also doesn't keep windows from becoming dirty, and clean windows not only let some much-needed sunlight into your office, they also put off a good first-impression to anyone visiting. That's why it's important to keep them clean.

With window cleaning, you also have to factor in employee safety. You don't to task an employee with the dangerous job of cleaning windows from the outside; especially if that employee is not a window cleaning professional. The middle ground -- the one that allows you to pay only for the services you need and gives you access to professionals in the field -- is to go with a building services company like All Source.

By contracting with All Source, you'll have professional window cleaners handling your window cleanings on a regular basis. If you just want window cleaning, that's all you have to pay for. But All Source is a one stop shop for a variety of different services, which means you can bundle window cleaning with other services, like carpet cleaning or janitorial services.

Ready to work with an experienced Twin Cities window cleaning company? Get in touch with All Source today at (952) 473-3228.

Odors in the Office Fridge

It happens from time to time. Someone in the office forgets about their leftovers for way too long and, before you know it, there's a wicked smell coming from the office refrigerator. So how can you get rid of the unwanted odors and get back to opening the fridge door without fear? Here are a few tips.

First, try some baking soda. Leave a box in the refrigerator for a few days to capture the odors bouncing around inside. If that's not doing the trick, you might have to move on to heavier artillery, like...

...a full cleaning. Remove everything from the fridge and clean the inside with a general purpose cleaner. Take a sniff after a few days to see if the smell is gone. If not, there's one last major step you can take.

Completely remove everything from the fridge, with the intent of keeping it out for approximately seven to ten days. Lightly spray water onto crumpled up newspaper, and fill the refrigerator up with these balls entirely. Close the door. Each day, replace the newspaper with brand-new newspaper that has been crumpled up and misted with water. After a week of this, your odors should be gone from the fridge.

Have any other questions about office cleaning, or are you looking to hire a Minneapolis office cleaning team to come in and keep things tidy after you leave? Give All Source a call today at (952) 473-3228.

Why Outsource Your Janitorial Service?

While some companies choose to do their own janitorial hiring, many decide instead to outsource that work to a firm with an expertise in that field. You may be wondering, What is the benefit to outsourcing our janitorial needs? There are several!

  • Cost. Hiring a company like All Source to handle janitorial duties in your building or office can be much more cost effective than having extra employees on your books.
  • Other specialties. Employees you hire to perform janitorial work may not be skilled in other areas, too. All Source, for instance, provides a number of different services in addition to office cleaning, such as plumbing repair, electrical service, power washing, painting, and more.
  • Clean work environment. You'll enjoy a clean office that creates a good, positive impression on those who work for you and those who stop in for business. Germs will also be cleaned up more frequently, which means employee-spread illnesses should decline.

Ants in Your Office

Ants will enter any premises with the intention of finding food. If your office has food sitting around, especially if that food is not closed up or stored properly, ants are sure to find it.

Fortunately, there are a few ways to deal with ants in your office that don't require spending money on an exterminator or a type of poison.

  • Spices like cinnamon, cayenne pepper, black pepper, or peppermint oil can kill ants. You just have to arrange the spice in such a way that ants have no choice but to travel through it.
  • Grits can also kill ants. They'll eat them up and later suffer the consequences, as the grits will expand inside their stomachs and kill them.
  • Lemon juice mixed with water can curb your ant problem when sprayed in an area ants often show up.
Try one or more of these methods, and don't be afraid to call a specialist if you need more help.
