Odors in the Office Fridge

It happens from time to time. Someone in the office forgets about their leftovers for way too long and, before you know it, there's a wicked smell coming from the office refrigerator. So how can you get rid of the unwanted odors and get back to opening the fridge door without fear? Here are a few tips.

First, try some baking soda. Leave a box in the refrigerator for a few days to capture the odors bouncing around inside. If that's not doing the trick, you might have to move on to heavier artillery, like...

...a full cleaning. Remove everything from the fridge and clean the inside with a general purpose cleaner. Take a sniff after a few days to see if the smell is gone. If not, there's one last major step you can take.

Completely remove everything from the fridge, with the intent of keeping it out for approximately seven to ten days. Lightly spray water onto crumpled up newspaper, and fill the refrigerator up with these balls entirely. Close the door. Each day, replace the newspaper with brand-new newspaper that has been crumpled up and misted with water. After a week of this, your odors should be gone from the fridge.
